Youth Activities at Augusta Heights
Monday Night Program
 | Young Life: This
is a national ministry who seeks out and ministers to young people. They have local groups who get permission to go
in and hang around high schools, and then they set up an off campus club that meets once a week for that school. On
Monday nights there is a Young Life club that meets in the One- Way House from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. The Young life
Club is primarily made up of students from Southside High School. Joey Allen, who is on staff at Young Life of
Greenville, leads the Young Life club. His "leadership team", consists of 6 students from Furman
University. They have snacks available and free time to play pool, cards, or whatever, after that they have an
organized game or activity. After the game or activity they have a bible study. This program usually runs the
length of the school year. |
